Rubber Gaskets and Seals

The Rubber Company manufactures rubber gaskets from a wide range of materials kept in stock. We keep many different grades of rubber sheeting used to produce rubber gaskets and seals. From standard grade rubber sheeting to high temperature resistant sheeting to food quality rubber sheeting.

We are able to produce rubber gaskets using various processes including die cut gaskets, water-jet cut gaskets and hand fabrication.

The Rubber Company keep various different solid rubber and sponge rubber materials in stock for producing rubber gaskets. Rubber gasket materials include: Neoprene rubber, Nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, Butyl rubber and Silicone rubber.

Rubber gaskets can be produced with self-adhesive backing or plain back.

The gaskets application is used to decide what material and grade is required. We can always advise on most suitable material if you are unsure what is best.

Rubber Dam & Gate Seals

The Rubber Company manufacture a wide range of shapes and sizes of rubber gate seals. With many existing dies and ability to produce custom seals to clients drawing or sample. We supply sealing solutions for Dam & Canal Gates, Radial, Stop log, Sluice, Penstock and Vertical Gates.

Material
We produce moulded and extruded rubber seals most commonly from EPDM, Neoprene or Natural rubber compounds. Natural rubber having high tensile strength and good abrasion resistant properties for a mechanically effective seal. Though when the gate seal will be exposed to ozone and weathering, EPDM and Neoprene have far greater resistance. This makes these 2 compounds popular choices, or also using them in compound blends.

The Rubber Company use specially formulated compounds to ensure maximum abrasion resistance and perfect sealing. We can also supply with PTFE film cladding to reduce friction and prevent the rubber gate seal jamming on contact surface.

Water Jet Cut Gaskets

Water jet cut gaskets allow us to cut complex shapes and parts in almost any material; from metal to foam.
Water jets cut parts with no heat affected zone, therefore secondary finishing is not needed. Advantages also include: improved tolerances and geometry; it virtually eliminates taper and can manufacture parts from a variety of CAD files. Water Jet Cutting provides a cleaner finish to thicker rubber that may struggle to be die cut.

Rubber Inflatable Seals

Rubber inflatable seals are precision extruded profiles designed to expand when inflated creating a tight barrier. A very effective rubber seal against dust, moisture and contamination.
We can manufacture rubber inflatable seals in a range of materials and grades to suit the application.

Balata Belting

Balata belting is a highly durable, robust belt made from heavyweight nylon cord, impregnated with a high quality rubber compound. It is pre-stretched during manufacture to ensure minimum stretch during operation. It uses a rubber friction surface on both sides, traditionally used in milling and animal feed industries.

Available in up to 975mm wide in 3, 4, 5 and 6 ply grades.

Custom Rubber Moldings

The Rubber Company offers custom rubber mouldings using both compression and injection moulding methods. We can produce specialist moulded parts to to customers drawings or from an existing sample. If for a new product, we can assist in the design and correct material selection depending on the parts application and working environment.

Our custom rubber moulding capabilities span from producing small parts weighing 0.1kgs up to new heavy duty rubber mat designs weighing 30kgs. Some custom moulded products we currently manufacture include rubber bushes, grommets, hydraulic rubber seal, rubber bonded to metal mounts. We offer high precision and cost effective rubber parts.

H Frame Rubber Feet

Our H Frame Rubber Feet are a quick, versatile and economical solution for supporting anything on your roof from pipe work, ductwork, cable trays and air conditioning equipment to plant rooms. They are manufactured from heavy duty recycled rubber and can be used over and over again.

These rubber feet are designed as a simple and easy “plug in and go” system. There are no fiddly inserts or sockets to fit the right (or wrong) way.

Rubber feet are available in both lighter and heavier weights, to suit whatever stability is required. They are available is both 350mm x 350mm or 500mm x 500mm when a greater load spread is required.

The feet are sold singularly without packaging, so you can buy exactly what you need for the job, minimising packing waste on site.

For sloped roofs, H Frame Rubber Feet can be moulded with an angled bottom as one component in either 2.5° or 5° angles.

Rubber O-Rings

A rubber O – ring or toroidal seal, is a very versatile sealing product and is produced in its millions to seal an aray of applications. Advantages of using an O-ring very compact and occupy a small amount of space, suit static and dynamic applications, seal efficiently in both directions, depending on material type can work between -65° and +325°C and when in used in PTFE work at -200°C.
We stock standard O-rings in Nitrile, Viton, PTFE, Silicone, EPDM, Neoprene and FEP encapsulated.
Stocked O-ring sizes include BS1806,BS4518,AS568B,AN6227,DIN3771 and many non standard , miniature and micro sizes.
